Australian Academy does not discriminate against any individual on the basis of race, colour, sex, religion, age, disability, or any other protected attribute. All students are treated equally and with respect. Our trainers will assist and support students where appropriate, including students with language, literacy, numeracy, digital, or physical needs, as long as the nature of the support required does not preclude them from safely demonstrating competency in practical first aid skills. We maintain culturally safe and inclusive learning environments and do not tolerate discriminatory behaviour from students in any of our classes. Any issues or questions raised regarding access and equity should be emailed to admin@australianacademy.edu.au.
Australian Academy first aid courses require students to be in attendance for 100% of the scheduled training time. Entry to class may be denied if students arrive more than 15 minutes late, as this is detrimental to learning outcomes and assessment validity.
Where Australian Academy cancels a class: Students are entitled to a full refund or transfer of funds to a future training program. Where a student cancels: We are unable to refund fees for students who do not attend or decide after booking that they do not want to attend. Changes to class bookings are allowed, but not within 48 hours of the class commencing. Fees and refunds are payable by direct credit payments.

Australian Academy aims to ensure its graduates have the skills and knowledge as expressed in the qualifications issued. Gathering authentic evidence is of the utmost importance to us. Australian Academy prevents and detects academic misconduct through academic integrity education, robust assessment design, and detection measures. Plagiarism is using the words or ideas of others and presenting them as one’s own. If using artificial intelligence text generation tools (AI) to assist in assessments, students must use them ethically and must not copy and paste answers directly from AI. Australian Academy uses software that will detect misuse of AI in assessment responses. Misuse of AI tools or plagiarism is considered Academic Misconduct and may result in a finding of Not Yet Competent or cancellation of enrolment.
Students must arrive ready for class prior to the stated commencement time. Should students be delayed for any reason, they must call Australian Academy on 1300 656 693 prior to class commencing. Australian Academy is committed to providing appropriate support to help students successfully complete their first aid training. In alignment with the 2025 RTO Standards, we conduct mandatory Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLN-D) assessments prior to enrolment to identify any support needs and ensure students can meet course requirements. Our trainers are experienced in providing support to learners and making reasonable adjustments to training and assessment to accommodate individual needs, where appropriate and where such adjustments do not compromise the integrity of assessment or workplace safety requirements. Students with additional learning needs, language barriers, physical disabilities, or other circumstances that may affect their learning should contact admin@australianacademy.edu.au prior to course commencement to discuss available support options. We maintain culturally safe and inclusive training environments that respect diversity. Students can access clear information about course requirements, assessment processes, and their rights and responsibilities. Our complaints and appeals process ensures any concerns are addressed fairly and transparently. Where appropriate, Australian Academy can provide information and referrals to external support services including literacy and numeracy programs, mental health resources, disability support services, and community services. Ongoing support can be obtained by calling Australian Academy on 1300 656 693 or emailing admin@australianacademy.edu.au.
